Výfuk a vonkajší vzduch prechádzajú cez polovicu kolesa osobitne, pri otáčaní kolesa sa teplo a vlhkosť vymieňajú medzi výfukom a vonkajším vzduchom. Účinnosť spätného získavania energie je až 70% až 90%.

Koleso citeľného tepla je vyrobené z hliníkových fólií s hrúbkou 0,05 mm. A celkový ohrievací kotúč je vyrobený z hliníkových fólií pokrytých molekulárnym sitom 3A s hrúbkou 0,04 mm.

Aplikácie:

Rotačný výmenník tepla môže byť zabudovaný do vzduchotechnickej jednotky (AHU) ako hlavná časť sekcie spätného získavania tepla. Bočný panel plášťa výmenníka je zvyčajne zbytočný, ibaže v AHU je nastavený obtok.
