Principi de funcionament:

L’intercanviador de calor rotatiu es compon de roda de calor alveolada, caixa, sistema d’accionament i peces de segellat. L’escapament i l’aire exterior passen per la meitat de la roda per separat, quan la roda gira, la calor i la humitat s’intercanvien entre l’escapament i l’aire exterior. L’eficiència en la recuperació d’energia és de fins a un 70% a un 90%.

Materials de la roda:

 

La roda de calor sensible està feta per làmines d'alumini de 0,05 mm de gruix. I la roda de calor total està feta per làmines d’alumini recobertes amb un tamís molecular de 3A de 0,04 mm de gruix.

Aplicacions:

L'intercanviador de calor rotatiu pot integrar-se en la unitat de tractament d'aire (AHU) com a part principal de la secció de recuperació de calor. Normalment, el panell lateral de la carcassa de l’intercanviador no és necessari, excepte que s’ha definit la derivació a AHU.

També es pot instal·lar als conductes del sistema de ventilació com a part principal de la secció de recuperació de calor, connectada mitjançant brida. En aquest cas, el panell lateral de l'intercanviador és necessari per evitar fuites.
