O escape e o aire exterior pasan pola metade da roda por separado, cando a roda xira, a calor e a humidade intercámbianse entre o escape e o aire exterior. Materiais da roda:

 

A roda de calor sensible está feita por follas de aluminio de 0,05 mm de espesor. E a roda de calor total está feita por follas de aluminio recubertas con peneira molecular 3A de 0,04 mm de espesor.

Aplicacións:
