A lot of friends ask me: can a fresh air air conditioner replace a real ventilation system? My answer is—definitely not.
The fresh air function on an AC is just an add-on. Its airflow is usually below 60m³/h, which makes it hard to properly refresh the whole house. A ventilation system, on the other hand, delivers above 150m³/h, and the difference in effect is huge.
Energy use is another big factor. Every bit of outside air pulled into the AC needs to be cooled or heated again, which sends the power bill up fast. A fresh air system is much smarter. With energy recovery, it can reduce HVAC load by more than 70%, especially noticeable in winter.
Purification also matters to me. AC filters are hit or miss, but a fresh air system can reliably remove over 99% of PM2.5, bacteria, and harmful gases, giving me peace of mind with every breath.
That’s why I personally prefer a ventilation system. If you care about energy savings, clean air, and convenience like I do, check out the Wall Mounted Eco-Flex Energy Recovery Ventilator. It’s compact, wall-mounted, and instantly improves indoor air quality.
